Parent of a Child Student Visa Financial Requirement for a Resident of Switzerland
Generally, Swiss residents must have £1,560 for each month of intended stay in the UK (up to a maximum of 9 months), plus £625 for each month (up to a maximum of 9 months) for any child other than the Child Student under the applicant's care in the UK.
You must hold these funds for at least 28 consecutive days, ending no more than 31 days before your visa application date.
Exceptions:
If you have been in the UK with permission for more than 12 months, you are deemed to meet the financial requirement and do not need to show funds.
If applying together with the Child Student for either entry clearance or leave to remain, and both have lived in the UK for less than 12 months, you satisfy the financial requirement if the Child Student meets their financial requirement.
Switching into the Parent of a Child Student Route
If you currently have valid leave to remain in the UK, you can switch to the Parent of a Child Student route, provided you do not have, or were not last granted, permission to stay as a Visitor, Short-term Student, or outside the Immigration Rules.
Duration of Stay on a Parent of a Child Student Visa
If your Parent of a Child Student visa application is successful, your visa will be granted to expire at the same time as the Child Student’s visa or on the Child Student’s 12th birthday, whichever comes sooner.
